Flat Lay Apparel or Pinned or Hanging Apparel
- High-budget- The best way to capture flat lay, pinned or hanging apparel is to photograph it straight across, starting from the back , and then include a few close-ups. The goal is to show the most important features and highlight details like print, texture and design components.
- Low-budget – If you have a a limited budget, showcasing your product straight on will be sufficient.
Ghost Mannequin Apparel
- High-budget –For a high-end ghost mannequin shoot in addition to straight-on shooting from the front and the back, it’s recommended to present your product at an angle of about 3/4 from the front and back, too. This gives the buyer a complete understanding of how the product will sit on him/her.
- Low-budget –If you’re on tight funds, present the product with a straight-on display and include a back angle depending on the design. it. This is especially the case with clothing or styles that are less conventional.

Glasses
- High budget –When shooting glasses with higher budgets, try shooting straight-on at an angle of 3/4, an angle to the side, and singling out something interesting through close-ups.
- Low budget – If you’re working under restrictions, shoot the glasses straight on to highlight their correct fit, and shoot them at 3/4 to highlight the design.
Bags
- High-budget –The best way to showcase bags is to shoot them straight towards the front, at a 3/4 angle from behind and open. You can emphasize a few specifics like the zipper’s texture, zipper or the brand’s logo. A shot of the bag from a top angle is also beneficial.
- Low budget-If you have a limited budget showing the bag in a straight-line will create a sufficient insight into its construction and design.
Watches
- High-budget –When it comes shooting watches, the most effective method to show off the watch is photograph it straight-on, back crossed, left 3/4 (top side) the 3/4 side angle and the full size straight-on.
- Low-budget-If you are shooting watches that have budget limits, focus on showing the image straight on and from a left 3/4 (top side). This should suffice to demonstrate the key attributes of your product.
Footwear
- High-budget- The best way to showcase footwear is to shoot it straight-on (the exterior side) and then shoot it at the 3/4 angle for a topside view, and then take a close-up to show its laces, fabric, or brand. You can also capture the sole.
- Low budget –If you’re only able to take the two or three shots you can take, the best approach is to display the shoe straight-on at the outer right.
Jewellery
Earrings & Rings
- High-budget-If you are shooting earrings concentrate on the straight-on, the low straight-on and a 1/4 angle. It should be more than enough to show the nature of the product.
- Low-budget- For a low-budget case, shoot earrings with a 3/4 angle. The straight-on angle is often not able to show the depth and width of the item. This, in turn it could be misleading.
Necklace
- High-end- With a bigger budget it is possible to photograph the necklace straight on, and show it from an elevated left or right 3/4 angle. You can also highlight the necklace with a close-up.
- Low-budget-With a lower budget shooting, a straight-on shot can suffice.

- High-budget-If the goods are packed, it is important to display the package in a straight-on manner first, then the product straight-on, and finally shoot the contents.
